Glarus | Glaris

Glarus Glarus, capital of the eponymous canton, is situated in the Linth Valley, at the foot of the Glärnisch Peak of the Glarus Alps. Destroyed by fire in 1861, it has been rebuilt in a checkerboard fashion and very few ancient buildings remain nowadays, but the mountain setting is quite beautiful.   We are regularly adding new places without notification or schedule.
