Leuk's Baths (Loèche-les-Bains in French), at the foot of the Gemmi. The history of the springs dates back to the Roman times and the Gemmi Pass has been an important connection between Valais and Bern in past centuries.

In summer, Leukerbad is a paradise for hiking, cycling, swimming and climbing. In winter, with its powdery pistes, white slopes and snow-covered mountain scenery, the small ski area offers perfect conditions.

Whatever the season, be sure to take the cable car up to the Gemmi pass, at the top of a vertiginous cliff.

From the pass, a small cable car takes you down to Lake Dauben (Daubensee), the starting point for magnificent hikes that can take you as far as Kandersteg in the Bernese Oberland.
