It may be the most famous music festival in the world. It's supposed to be a "Jazz" Festival, but it's not. It's a music festival. Or maybe the festival of all musics. Jazz of course, but not only. Rock, hip-hop, electro, reggae, experimental, blues, and all the styles you may imagine. It's a festival of passion. Passion for music.

Some say it's quite expensive. Don't believe them: maybe you'll pay less in some other places, but you'll be standing 1,000 yards from the stage. At Montreux Jazz Festival, you're so close to the stage that sometimes the singers will spit on you!

And by the way... Montreux is a really wonderful place, and during the Montreux Jazz Festival there are more free concerts than paying ones. Come to Montreux even if you're broke! At least once in your lifetime...
